| How to apply to the CURE program Undergraduate students majoring in science, math, or engineering who are enrolled in the CURE institutions should contact the person listed for their school. You may be advised to take classes or other training to prepare you for the summer program at JPL.
There is a summer-only option as well as a year-round program option. NSF student stipends are provided. Graduating seniors are not eligible. The program is restricted to US citizens or US permanent residents. Students may continue in CURE for up to two years. This can be
extended
to a third year if they transfer to CSULA. Their participation ends
when
they transfer to a school outside of the CURE network. CURE
participants will be required to present their work at a student
research conference at JPL at the end of the summer. They will be
encouraged to present their work at local and national conferences.
CURE
provides an opportunity for undergraduates to form long-term working
relationships with scientists at JPL and CSULA. CURE interns will work
at the JPL facility in Pasadena, at the JPL Table Mountain Observatory
or at CSULA. What to do when you have been
selected for the CURE program |
